Electronic Detonator Applied in Rock Blasting in Mining

Rock blasting is one of the main links in the MINING production chain and directly influences the stages of loading, transportation, processing, and especially environmental control. This study evaluates the impacts transmitted to the population surrounding a mining site, caused by blasting with explosives, and emphasizes the application of TECHNOLOGIES TO MINIMIZE IMPACTS ON THE POPULATION AND THE ENVIRONMENT. Through the analysis of data from experiments carried out with seismographs, the efficiency of fires initiated with the use of ELECTRONIC FUSE was measured as a CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE BLASTING PROCESS. The technique demonstrated BENEFITS such as: reduced vibration and noise levels, safer operation, optimal adaptation of the timing system for the sequence of hole exits, preservation of the remaining slope, excellent launch of the dismantled material, satisfactory fragmentation of the rock mass, and preservation of the mining area. In addition to mitigating impacts on the population through improvements in safety conditions in the surrounding area and better socio-environmental results through the expansion of health and sustainability aspects.
