Electric Bulldust by A I Pootinbox Three AI generated stories imagined, directed & compiled by Steve Rogan Reptilians Invade Poldix-Z5 Tall Tales of the NPIA Phish & Chips First and foremost, this was, a) just a bit of fun, and, b) a bit of an experiment to see if this dreaded AI generated writing of works of fiction business could - in the near future - destroy the creative artistry of the organic writer of works of fiction; you know, the ones with mummies and daddies. As it currently stands, I think the human writers are quite safe... but I have my doubts that it will stay that way. Of course, there was a degree of editing conducted across the three stories in this book, as would be expected in preparing any manuscript for publication. However, the points of address within these three manuscripts went beyond what might be considered as standard fare insofar as editing works of fiction is concerned. What I needed to ascertain; what I went hunting for as the primary objective of this exercise, was to find out how far one would need to go to wash away all the traces of AI generated text so as to make such a manuscript appear born of the human mind and written by the human hand. Even with the extensive editing, the, what we might call, AI residue is more than evident. All three manuscripts were, at the beginning and in their raw forms, riddled with patterns one could definitely attribute to an AI generated process. Editing, so as to water down these patterns to the extent that I have, told me that anyone attempting to pass such AI generated work off as their own creation in its entirety] would find the task to be extremely difficult... for the time being at least. The stories are nothing grand; no works of literary greatness in any way at all. They served a purpose for me to analyse and understand what might be the idiosyncrasies of this AI generated hoohah. Of course, AI generated text does have its place insofar as the generation of reports or meeting minutes might be concerned, but let's hope the literary world of works of fiction can hold at bay the potential A I Pootinbox authors from inundating the world's bookshelves, thus making it difficult for us organic-based writers.
