Tucson is a rough and dangerous town. But people like the weather, so they move here and huddle together in gated communities like El Restos. Life is good at El Restos, or so it seems. An ex-stripper, a ball-busting banker, and an alcoholic Unitarian play on a women's tennis team and hang out at the club and manage to get along despite their differences. Their husbands and a drug-dealing bartender and a gun-toting security guard, however, are too much for the mix. As marriages fail and people are ruined and the fatality rate climbs, El Restos turns out to be as rough and dangerous as the rest of Tucson.
