ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

"I perfectly executed my four steps: conceive, conspire, execute, and evade."

The charismatic mercenary who narrates this story is a real person under the pseudonym of Adri n Falc n, although throughout the years he used other names like El Parse, Hook, Strelkinov, etc. Tender and diabolical, Falc n is now in his sixties and has survived his complex life history with a peculiar sense of humor. He was persecuted in the U.S. and several Latin American countries for terrorism, he was a key player in scandalous situations like the Iran-Contra affair, and he operated with Colombian cartels to fund counterrevolutionary actions. Considering himself a "freedom fighter," he worked against the Soviet Union, the Sandinistas, and Fidel Castro.

Although he was once the target of the FBI, he is ending his combat days as a condottiero of the CIA and a disbeliever of everything. Disillusionment leads him to fight for his destiny and he finds an ally in Valentina, whom he meets in Paris and with whom he begins a relationship of interests; in her way, she is also a mercenary survivor.

This work offers a reference point for those who wonder about the enemies who faced the Latin American leftists, and is a product of interviews with Falc n and of the research done by Wendy Guerra, daughter of guerrilla idealism who has jumped the fence to look in from the other side.
