The anesthesiologist and the surgeon work in tandem in the operating room"a relationship that is sometimes very rocky and that can bring about unintended consequences, as is the case in this book. Doctor Jomeini decides to write a blog after her romantic break-up, which coincides with the beginning of her training as an anesthesiologist. As such, what is revealed is a mixture of professional and personal experiences and dilemmas, including ones that reveal the darker side of the operating room. In sum, the reader will get an intimate look at the failures, triumphs, and sentimental roller-coaster ride of the protagonist.
