With schools closed due to COVID-19, Maya (5 years old) and her little brother Jake (2 years old), like many other children, continued their education at home. One of her mother's first priorities, given that her native language is Spanish, was to have Maya practice the Spanish alphabet letters through drawings; this activity later inspired the idea of sharing her unique creations and words Maya's Artistic Alphabet invites her peers to immerse themselves in her world of fantasy and color and, in the process, learn the Spanish letters.

Maya is bilingual and lives in Philadelphia with her Argentine mother, American father, and younger brother. She loves drawing, biking, swimming, and taking art and ballet classes. What she has missed the most during COVID-19 are her friends from school, and she hopes to play with them again soon
