An excellent small survey

This work is divided into three parts. The first part written by G. J. Whitrow covers the early years until the Special Relativity Theory of 1905, the second the time of General Relativity and Einstein's becoming known by the worldby W.B. Bonnor, the third by D.W.Sciama on Einstein's years in Princeton searching for the Unified Field Theory. The work which was originally a three part BBC radio series contains interviews with his son H.A. Einstein, Bertrand Russell, Karl Popper, Otto Frisch, Roy Harrod, Herman Bondi, and Bernard Cohen. One of the best interviews is with Karl Popper explaining that he himself has done was implicit in the work of Einstein. Another of the interesting conversations has to do with Einstein's relation to Newton, and upon being informed that Newton deliberately did not publish his vast theological writing hearing Einstein perhaps tongue-in- cheek and perhaps not, that it is good that Newton held to the idea of scientific rigor and so would not publish anything he could not really verify. This is rich small survey work.
