Mike and Eileen Sadler spent many years working and living in Zambia in the late 1950's and early 1960's, serving in the Education Department of the British Colonial Service. At this time Africa was in major upheaval as Britain divested itself of its empire. In the thick of all this, the "Mike and Eileen Sadler family" was born and grew up.In 2007 Eileen began to email Jeremy, her youngest son, once a week with some of her memories of her life (this was by request), providing a delightfully poignant, honest, witty and interesting insight into this amazing life and unique period in Africa. These emails/letters are collected here, with additional information provided by the family, including photographs, videos and links to other websites and other anecdotes relating to this story. This is a collaboration of memories led by Eileen Sadler.
