Nursing is a healthcare job which deals with the care of individuals, families, and communities so that they can achieve, maintain, or gain good health and quality of life throughout their lives. Nurses work in various specialties where they either work independently or they work as a part of a team which evaluates care and plans the line of treatment for the patient along with the doctor and implements the same. The word "Nurse" was used after the thirteenth century and it originated from the Latin word 'to nurse'. It is evident from the translations of non-English work before early 1900's that the term 'nurse' was used with reference to male health care providers.
