Beautifully Effective

I originally read this book when I was taking courses for becoming a licensed Religious Science Practitioner and I found it to be (like all of Ernest Holmes stuff) straightforward, practical, and extremely inspiring. He reminds us time and time again that prayer is not for God, but for the one praying. God is not a candy dispenser giving us a treat here and a treat there, God is Good itself and all of God's Good has already been given to us we just have to allign ourselves with God's Good and let it flow through us, as us. Everything we think is a prayer because everything we think on some level manifests itself. It's not just about "positive thinking" it's about really knowing, feeling, and acting out on the Truth that we are Whole Beings NOW living in a Whole Universe NOW regardless of appearances, regardless of what we may be going through, regardless of any prognosis or diagnosis God is always and in all ways our Infinite Source, our Inexhaustible Supply, our Infallible Good and we are here to use God because in effect, all there is, is God. I know a lot of people will disagree and quarrel over this point and I have, at various times doubted this, as well, but whether I am in the heighths of Heaven or in the depths of hell, I know and feel that the Presence of Spirit is all around me and all within me. This book is effective because it gives you ideas to think about as well as ideas to implement in your everyday life. Most people think of God once aweek on Sundays at church, but when you begin to sense the Presence of Spirit in everything, as everything your life automatically becomes a richer, more fuller experience. You stop judging by appearances and know and feel that no matter what may come, you are still in the Presence of Love and all is well. Is my life picture perfect because of this book? Absolutely not. I live in the world but I am reassured by the Truth that I do not have to be of the world. I can allow myself to be at Peace with any situation because I know in every situation there are the Divine Opportunities of Spirit just waiting to be expressed. It's a great liitle book. Treat yourself today to a better life by not only reading this book, but by alligning yourself with these deeper Truths.
