This book reports on a research process whose results were first published in 2002 on the Site de l'Adaptation Scolaire et Sociale de Langue Fran?aise (SASSLF). This site was supported by all of Quebec's French-speaking universities and the committee responsible for its operation ceased its activities in 2005. Although the SASSLF was maintained online for a few years, this is no longer the case and the work is no longer available. Since its publication, this report has been the subject of a much appreciated activity of the course EDU2116 Difficult?s d'adaptation et intervention dispensed to students in teacher training at the Universit? du Qu?bec en Abitibi-T?miscamingue. This activity has two components: first, an analysis and reflection on exemplary cases of practice, followed by the presentation of the intervention model that emerged from a quantitative phase. Although the publication of this work dates back more than ten years, an update of knowledge in support of the intervention ideas identified will be presented in a section added to the initial report. A few corrections and the adaptation of some passages and terms have been made for the benefit of the reader.
