It was pretty obvious to me this book would be a christian resource when I read the back cover. If you are not a Christian, then this is NOT the book for you. However if you are looking for a book about dealing with your child's giftedness with a Christian slant this is a great resource. It gets at the heart of emotional issues and how to help your child look at their giftedness while realizing it is God's gift to be used for His kingdom. It is especially strong in social and emotional areas, while lacking in acedemic resources. The many quotes from the Bible are helpful to those kids who read their Bible and may help them to appreciate their gift and act humble about it.
Just be aware...

I did find this book helpful. At least, it did support a lot of what I recognized about my own child. However, I was unprepared for the fact that it quotes a fair amount of Christian scripture. There is nothing in the descriptions I read before hand that let me know - although is was published by a "Good News" press which I didn't notice. Many people may find the quotes supportive and loving. Unfortunately, I found it took away from my focus on my G/T child's education - probably because I was not looking for a "christian" book on G/T education. If I had been, this book would fit the bill.
