Edimango

By: Duncan, Natalie

Can a magical mango tree teach a school full of kids the power of outdoor play, healthy choices, and kindness

Eddie used to be the happiest tree at Ashley Elementary School, surrounded by giggling children climbing his branches and enjoying his sweet fruit. But over time, lunchtime changed. The playground grew quiet as children traded outdoor fun and fresh fruit for screen gadgets and junk food. Lonely and desperate to connect with his friends again, Eddie makes a bold wish upon a shooting star.

The next morning, the magic happens: Eddie transforms into a real boy, Edimango

With the help of his animal pals, Sophia the goat and Adam the lizard, Edimango steps into the classroom to bring his school back to life. But changing habits isn't easy. To win back his playmates, Edimango must:

Disarm a school bully through empathy and inclusion.

Inspire kids to swap junk food and screens for fresh fruit, active play, and real connection.

Discover his true purpose and learn where his heart truly belongs.

Full of heart, whimsical charm, and vibrant island-inspired warmth, Edimango is an uplifting tale about determination, friendship, and the joy of nature. Perfect for fans of magical realism, outdoor adventures, and stories with strong social-emotional values
