Edge of Surrender was originally put together in order that the authors son, Rob Jr. would have a realistic, detailed, easy to read record of the years and events surrounding his mothers untimely death, at age 25. Jr. was only 15 months old at the time! Rob Sr. confesses "I am so blessed that I took the time to make this book project a reality". It wasn't until 20 years later that Jr. began to ask questions, some of which, to answer, would have only been a foggy attempt on the authors part to remember. Although the book was finished in 1996, Jr. didn't receive a printed copy until 2004. It wasn't until then that he really began asking the deeper questions requiring many details, details that would have long since been forgotten! "The book was truly a Godsend" says Sr.What began as a typical day at the office slowly turned into a roller coaster ride plunging headlong into a diabolical tunnel of hopelessness and despair. Faced with many decisions to surrender to; the legal system, insurmountable odds, pressures, his parental rights or even to the ultimate authority governing both heaven and earth (Jesus Christ), surrender finally came in the midst of the struggle. This is a tale that will keep readers at the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
