This is three stories of Eddie during his summers with his pals Billy, Jimmy., and Ronnie. These are semitrue events of my life living in a small town in eastern Illinois, mostly farm land. These occurred from 1948 to 1951, Eddie was 9-12 years old. during these years. They were exciting years. Ideal reading for 5- to 14-year-old children who love the outdoors. Eddie lived on a gravel road north of town. During those days we spent riding our bike roaming the country side fishing, swimming, going to carnivals and doing odd jobs. These three adventures are Catching bullfrogs, Going Swimming at the Swimming Hole. Where Eddie found a small metal chest while diving. They took the chest to Gilberts and come to find out it was a stolen chest of Jewelry from 5 years ago. Exciting things then started to happen to Eddie and his Buddies next. The next adventure they go helping the Carnival carnies (workers) put up tents and set up the rides for tickets. They enjoy the rides and have fun
