In 2039, at the helm of global power is eco-extremist Rainbow Pristine and her cohorts form the The Environmental Illuminati (EI). With the appearance of a global democracy, EI turns the brains of freedom loving humans into mush in the name of saving the ecosystem. Anything short of full throated support of the regime equals forced labor camps, pablum for food, group hate and death. Amidst this Orwellian, dystopian future, an older Luke Dodge retains a hidden glimmer of the free ocean spirit that he once was. Luke escapes to Santa Cruz island where he discoveres tablets hidden deep in the belly of an ancient Chinese ship wreck. The tablets tell of a more balanced relationship between man and nature - if the tablets were to get out into the open, it would undue the iron grip that Rainbow has on the world. Luke and Rainbow face off one last time with fate of humanity hanging in the balance.
