Antonio Mijail Perez, is a Cuban-American Biologist from the University of Havana (1987) and Doctor in Biology from the University of the Basque Country in Spain (1999). Dr. Perez holds two Post Doctorates, one in Ecotoxicology and the other on Biodiversity-Based Modeling. He has published more than 60 scientific articles and several books on biodiversity and quantitative analysis over his 30 years career. He has worked as a Research Professor and Consultant in many countries of Central America and the Caribbean. Currently lives in Miami, Florida, where he serves as a Consultant for Biodiversity Assessments and Biodiversity Data Analysis, and Professor of Biology and Ecology at the Miami Dade College and Saint Thomas University.
