Continuing the long-standing Feigenbaum tradition as an authoritative, comprehensive echocardiography resource, the thoroughly revised Feigenbaum's Echocardiography, Eighth Edition, helps echocardiographers, fellows, clinicians, and sonographers master the art and science of echocardiography and stay current with all that's new in the field. Written by William F. Armstrong and Thomas Ryan, it guides you through pertinent physics, technology, clinical applications, and new developments in the field. As in the past, the book is written primarily for the practitioner who uses echocardiographic methods to care for and manage patients, with a focus on appropriate clinical applications. Features enhanced online content including echo clips, case studies, and more. Includes new content specifically for cardiac sonographers. Reflects new training guidelines for cardiology fellows emphasizing the importance of echocardiography in the general practice of cardiology. Describes the interrelationship of other imaging technologies with echocardiography and the role of echo as part of a multimodality approach to patients. Contains more than 1,600 high-quality illustrations - 600 in full color. Best Echo book

Probably the best echo book on the market. Complete, well written. Recommanded to all professionals.

Technical Textbook

Feigenbaum is deservably respected as one of the foremost authors on the subject of echocardiology. While this is a college textbook covering quite technical content, the author presents the material in a clear and concise manner. I ordered this textbook because I had all but given up trying to understand my course selected textbook written by Catherine M. Otto, MD., that covers most of the same materials.

Outstanding value

Excellent, clinically oriented book. The video DVD alone is worth more than the cost of the text and is fantastic. The text is very clinically relevant and is not as academic or mathmatecial as Otto's books.

echocardiography at its finest

As a student echocardiographer learning the pathology of cardiovascular diseases, I have both this edition and one earlier. This is well worth the upgrade in price. It has 1 second loops of most of the many possible pathologies found in echocardiographic studies. Though I have looked at the clips several times, installation was initially a short-lived problem. This new edition is a complete overhaul as described by Feigenbaum. He admits that he is not the sole author but Armstrong and Ryan are the primarys on this edition. This book's attention to clinical detail makes it a must in my book when considering Echo books. Having a resource to give you a moving example of cardio pathology can only enhance one's understanding.

superb

excellent clinically oriented, very well written and organized text book, supplemented with great clips on DVD. I found it very useful for exam preparation and in clinical practice
