From Tomato and Mozzarella Salad to a classic Chicken Cacciatore, a selection of fifty easy-to-prepare recipes--each of which includes only three simple steps--represents the best in Italian cuisine. This description may be from another edition of this product.
The beauty of this cookbook is how simple, yet tasty, the recipes are. I use these recipes when pressed for time after work, and they always taste great. You can use this as an entry-level Italian cookbook, or complement your other more advanced cookbooks. There is a neat introduction to basic Italian ingredients that you need to have in your pantry, and there is a description of "the Italian meal" which details the different courses (antipasto, primo piatto, dolci, etc) and what foods are served during those courses. The pictures, which detail the 3 steps to prepare the meal, are useful, too. My favorite recipe is Zabaglione with Cherries: simple and delicious every time.

I bought this book for about 3 bucks several years ago and it has been my favorite. I've cooked nearly everything in it at least once and several have become my family's regular dinners. I started buying them as gifts for friends but they are hard to find.
