By: Lebret, June

Have you ever considered the days following Easter? The crucifixion of Jesus is Connected with the Jewish observation of Passover and fifty days later is Pentecost. On Friday, we observe the day Jesus died, was buried, and three days later He rose again. Resurrection was a beginning and not a culmination. In this book, June leads us on to a fifty-day devotional journey from Easter to Pentecost
In His life Jesus pointed to the Father, in His death He took away our sins, and in the forty days following the resurrection He prepared His disciples for the coming Holy Spirit. Then, before ascending to the Father, Jesus simply told His disciples to wait. They waited in prayer and when the Holy Spirit descended, the Church was born Empowered by the Holy Spirit the Church points to Jesus.
Eastertide: A Devotional Journey to Pentecost was previously published under the title Eastertide: A Journey of Discovery. The name change is a more descriptive title of the devotional's intended purpose, along with a few corrections and added content.
