Would you give up the ability to make your own choices if it meant you were always happy, always healthy, never hungry, never stressed, never worried? World Dominion is the most amazing foursome to come on the music scene . . . ever. No one has actually seen them in real life, they project digital images. Probably a marketing gimmick. But their ethereal music is hard to define, and harder to stop listening to. And it feels so good . . . Clint is retired, overweight, grumpy and impatient. His neighbor, homely young Anabelle, is one of the few people he hasn't alienated. She's deaf, so she can't hear the songs "Whirl-Dom" releases. The same day strange white structures appear high in the earth's atmosphere. Now Cliff and Anabelle must figure out where the music is coming from, and how to get their family members back. It won't be easy. The band's agent, cunning Wolff Neumann, is several steps ahead of them, and the music has given him strange new abilities. Over time Clint and Anabelle start to see changes of their own, and learn, if they can avoid being captured by Wolff, they just might have the ability to free mankind from alien control. But does an enslaved mankind want to be freed from a cleaner, peaceful, contented life?
