Earth: Deconstructed

The intent for this book was to communicate the dire importance of implementing a technology designed to prevent a comet or stray asteroid from smashing into our planet. My goal was to spread an awareness of the fact that we are doing absolutely nothing to prevent from getting eradicated by a comet or asteroid that could be out there in our solar system just waiting to crash into us.

We're all so concerned with our own little lives, politics, sports, information, that we have forgotten that we could all just be wiped out if we were to get hit by a huge asteroid or comet. The goal of our continued survival as a species is to eventually find another hospitable planet besides Earth on which to reside. With hundreds of thousands of Earth-like planets already in our galaxy, the chances of us finding one is extremely likely, if we only make it that far.

So, we should definitely try to stay alive for as long as possible on this planet, or at least until we have that level of technology. A technology like that would enable us to send people out into space, perhaps with a number of generations living their entire lives on the spacecraft. We have to get to that point. The worst thing that could happen to our species would be to get hit by a humongous asteroid or giant comet, which would wipe us all out. Then all of our struggles, strife, victories, creations, and everything that ever mattered to us would all be completely lost, forever. Basically, everyone's life will have then been rendered utterly and completely pointless.

This book is a visual depiction of what would happen to the Earth if it were to get destroyed by a huge gigantic object falling from the sky. It shows the stages of the Earth's destruction, with each page being the next step in the deconstruction process. Along with this is a surreal narrative that uses @yessickart's highly refined freestyle writing style to create an abstract storyline with layered meaning.

Simultaneously, the creative commons image of the Earth that I used, after all, is just a picture. It is being deconstructed or taken apart. It morphs and changes slowly throughout the book. Each page is a step in the deconstruction of the image with photo software which illustrates the actual progression of the digital art process involved. So, you can see how the image went from just a picture of the Earth, to something way further beyond what you already may have seen on the cover. Try this book so that you can spread the word Save our species For sure Thanks
