Early Civilizations covers a broad timespan of human history from the emergence of early man, to the great civilizations of the Mediterranean, Mesopotamia (including the Phoenicians of Lebanon and Hebrews of Israel), North Africa, India and East Asia. Early history involves dramatic accounts of the rise and fall of warring nations led by powerful kings and brilliant generals, and also of tremendous breakthroughs in science and technology, art and agriculture, and philosophy and religion.
