How does a Head Start director know if she is providing sufficient fine and gross motor activities for the children in her program? How can a teacher in a preschool determine if his classroom is arranged to enhance learning? What should state licensing personnel look for when they observe day care facilities?
The Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS) has been answering these questions for almost two decades. TC Press is proud to announce the thoroughly revised edition of this easy-to-use evaluation instrument. While retaining the familiar 7-point scoring format, the new ECERS has been expanded to 43 items and includes many improvements that will make this widely used resource even more valuable to early childhood teachers and program directors.
