This is the sixth of a series of workbooks that teaches the Orton-Gillingham method to structured literacy backed up by the science of reading. The workbooks go along with free tutoring videos on You Tube. An adult may need to read the instructions to the student. Inside you will learn all about vowel teams and practice them using games and reading and writing exercises. The student will work more on Phoneme Grapheme Mapping. Mapping words is the best way to implant them into the memory because it involves multiple senses. There are explanation sheets on how it works then a blank sheet for the student to map words themselves. You will find games in the workbook to make practicing fun for the child. Some of the games have blank versions so that you can make your own game to practice more. If you put a plastic sheet over the page and use a dry erase marker you can use that page over and over again to get as much practice as you like. The workbook contains decodable stories at the end for the child to practice reading fluency and comprehension.
