I found this series, Moreland Dynasty, great reading, and expecially this one concerning World War I.

Cynthia Harrod-Eagles has taken on a seemingly impossible task--creating a work of historical fiction based on one family starting in ancient Britain and concluding in the present day. Amazingly, she succeeds. The latest volume of the work is set during World War I. Obviously, Harrod-Eagles is most interested in this period of history since this is the second of her books to focus on the war. I remain enthralled with her novels. Great characters, wonderful plots, convincing life stories. I recognize that it is daunting to contemplate beginning a series that is now at book 28, but if you enjoy historical fiction, do yourself a favor and give this series a try.
