Book Overview

Though we often focus more on the male heroes and villains in the Bible, the pages of Scripture are brimming with women who are edgy, strong willed, and controversial. Far from the stereotype of sweet and submissive, many women of the Bible steal the show despite being cast in the supporting roles. What parts did these women have in the vast family of God? What challenges did they face that we face even today? And what can we learn from them if we allow them to be the three-dimensional people they really were?In Dynamic Women of the Bible , the lives of more than fifty biblical women are summoned from their graves to live again by the author who brought you The Biographical Bible . Scripture references, biographical profiles, sidebars (featuring twenty additional women of the Bible), discussion questions, and life applications make this book perfect for small groups, Bible studies, book clubs, and personal reading.

The cover is the best part of book. Don't waste your time reading this ridiculous rendition of histo

Dr Tucker proves that a degree can be attained with no REAL knowledge of the true gospel. She has an ability to create entertaining stories but they fail to capture the actual culture and struggles the people of the era faced. Dr Tucker writes like a spoiled middle school girl would think. Don't waste your money or time reading this book! A group of women and I each bought this book with the hope to gain insight into God’s word. We could only tolerate reading 4 chapters before we all unanimously voted to throw the books away! We wouldn't poison Christian minds by selling them. I actually burned mine!

If you're a Believer in Jesus don't read this book

I got this book thinking it would be a great bible study book for our group. As we began reading, we were all extremely discouraged at the way this author portrays the women of the bible. How can you go so far to the left in assuming what these women would have been like? There is scriptural cross reference in the NT to obliterate her views on how these women would have acted and if they were strong women of God. If you don't do your research through other historical documents and also allow the Holy Spirit to lead your writing, how can you even begin to describe these women. I was embarrassed that I was the one to recommend this book. The good that came from this is that we will now dig into the lives of these women based on scriptural evidence and through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I do not recommend this book to anyone.
