Duty and Other Stories

The short story, Duty, dramatized for the screen by the author, won a national scriptwriting competition in 2006. It was, therefore, made into a short film of the same title by the Nigerian Film Corporation, the organizers of the competition. The film was subsequently nominated for the award of Best Short Film at the 2011 edition of Africa Movie Academy Awards. Its screenplay was also one of the six selected from another national competition to kick off the MNET international New Directions Initiative in 1998. This story and others of varied themes have been put together in this volume.
