Good book

I liked this book. It tells of life in the South when World War 2 was happening. The things that this girl went through and how things were are true. Reading about the everyday and the struggles bought memories how my own parents was raised and the hardships and also the love that they had. Also in my own life growing up in the 50s related to the life of this girl.
