Nineteen seventy-one, Bombay, India. A black stone wall stands on the side of the street, dividing two worlds by itself. On one side of the wall, there is a low-rise residential building called Kodadad, with dim light and a lone neem tree in the courtyard; on the other side of the wall, there are the bustling streets of India, where noisy voices and chaotic smells roll in the heat. Gustad, who lives in Kodadad House, is an ordinary bank clerk, leading a routine life and enjoying his family's misery. However, a letter from an old friend disrupts everything he has arranged for his life in a flash, forcing him to embark on a long journey. Deeply buried secrets and betrayals bite him day and night, and miracles and misfortunes come in turn as a cruel joke of fate. ...... Is the long journey worth it? Or is it worth all the long journeys? Faced with the dark night of life, some are broken, while others just shrug and accept life as it comes.
