The man's words stand alone. The title says it all but, this is not as the back cover indicates, "your average quote book." You have to be paying attention but, there is actually a point being made in this book. The jokes are funny, the quotes are funny and the author uses a healthy dose of sarcasm. It's witty and intelligent, so it's the opposite of our President. (It still pains me to call him that) Are we to believe that these people who gave the book bad reviews and dissolve into talk about Democrats and leftys, or who think Bush is a "superb manager" actually bought and read this book? Excuse me but your political agenda is showing. If this book is pissing off Bush supporters than it is obviously doing something right. And I love the cover.
NOT FUNNY and WHO WOULD ENDORSE THIS are fooled again.

This book is a compilation of quotes from George W. Bush so you cannot spin the stupidity and downright ignorance of the most powerful man in the world that has his finger on the button. I started feeling sick very early on in the book. I do not expect perfection from my president when it comes to speaking English but I would like him to at least get a passing grade. George W Bush fails miserably on this subject and no matter how you spin it, this is the way I think he thinks. I laugh out loud at NOT FUNNY and WHO WOULD ENDORSE THIS. I just love it when "they" talk about National Defense or 9/11(how many are dead and wounded in Iraq by the way which had nothing to do with 9/11?) Oh, yes, and be sure to blame Clinton for the way Bush speaks. What a bunch of losers that try to spin that angle. jules carlysle has written in my opinion the best book on George W Bush yet because these are his own words in mostly chronological order. He has only himself to blame and no one else, period. He damages his credibility with each and every sentence he spouts out of his mouth. jules also puts sarcasm after many of the sayings and believe me, I understand each and every one of them. I also like the jokes in-between told by some of the finest one-liner comics in the business: Leno, Maher, Stewart, Letterman and a few others. This is a must read for everyone that knows what's really going on. We could have done better let me tell you. This book is a keeper. Buy it.
Superbly entertaining book!

The fellow who calls GW Bush a "superb manager" should consider that a good manager must be able to communicate his thoughts clearly. This book makes it abundantly clear that when he goes off-script, Bush can't string two coherent sentences together. He falls back on platitudes and cliches, and often gets them wrong. This book makes it clear that he really doesn't have a clue how to explain his administration's policies on complex matters like social security and health care. Perhaps "Dumbass" is too severe. "Incoherent Dimwit" might be better. There are almost 1200 Bush quotes in the book, and they are interspersed with (coherent) quotes from comedians, philosophers, and other politicians. The inclusion of those quotes are what makes this book a superbly entertaining read. It provides some good family fun. My kids and I get a kick out of finding and sharing some of the more stupid/incoherent/bizarre quotes. Makes for some great laughs.

"....otherwise [the book] is two covers surrounding emptiness." Actually, GWB is 2 ears surrounding emptiness. The book is funny, but at the same time it's sad and frieghtening that a man a inane as GWB is anywhere near the power Dick Cheney has.
Love It

I decided to post a review because I'm responding to the one below. I actually loved this book. Bush is made to look like a fool because he is a fool and then some. If you are a big fan of George W Bush than buying this book is probably a mistake but if you are like the rest of us, it's a lot of fun and quite informative. The fact is it's funny. period. It's nice to have for the cover alone. I'm giving it for Christmas gifts this year.
