Duckie and Skye's Exploration: Our first flight

"Duckie and Skye's Exploration" is a children's story about a precocious young duckling (Duckie) from Cape May who wanders away from her family to pursue a beautiful flower on the opposite side of the pond. Instead, she bumps into a family of swans and meets a young cygnet (Skye). Duckie and Skye become close friends and swim toward the flower. However, the flower is too high for them to see. In addition, they were too young to fly. So they shuffle out of the pond and follow a family of human hikers to the observation deck.

Meanwhile, their parents are franticly searching for them. When the hikers discover their avian followers, they encourage Duckie and Skye to make a thunderous noise to help their parents find them. Their parents hear their children's cries for help from the observation deck. When they spotted their children, they thanked the human hikers and guided them home. Days later, Duckie and Skye learn to fly and take a short flight to the unique flowers and the observation deck. Finally, I end the story with Duckie and Skye planning their next getaway to Long Beach Island, Liberty Island, and beyond.
