Very well written historical fiction

Let's be clear: This is a Regency Romance and if you don't like the genre, you will not like this book. However, it is one of the best, most historically accurate I've read, and it cleverly weaves Napoleon into the story and uses him as a catalyst in the lives of a man and a woman in Britain. The book is pleasure reading, but a much better story/plot and much better written than "beach reads." In pleasure reading, I want to laugh, a lot. This books does it all.
A very Pleasing Well Written Book

The Duchess of Asherwood is an excellent well written novel. The characters stand on their own and it is a great read. It is in my Keeper box having been read over and over again and is in sad shape. I wish they would reprint the book so I could get a copy that is in one piece. The Duke of Asherwood is not so much a dour man as a bored one. He has no plans to marry again, but fate takes a turn and at the request of a man who saved his life, he most disobligingly looks for a wife. Enter a snake who spooks his sons horse and a widow who comes to his sons aid. An Excellent Book. I Hope That the Author would write another books someday. Fine Reading.
