Going DownMemory Lane

I really enjoyed Driving Miss Peggy. I loved the pictures and the stories. The book was well-written and interesting, in that Ms Paladini writes it in narrative form and the reader can imagine that he or she is right there listening to Miss Peggy as she goes down Memory Lane with just the right measure of humour. Having driven Miss Peggy a couple of times, (although not of this group of ladies) I can attest to the fact that these ladies are blessed to have spent this time in her company and hearing her wit and wisdom, not to mention the great history lessons. This book is a quick read, but the content lasts in your mind for a long time. I heartily recommend it.

A book filled with love, laughter and life

What a great book!! Driving Miss Peggy is a "must read" for women of all ages, for anyone who has ever had a group of friends, anyone who knows the value of the intergenerational connection, and anyone who simply wants to enjoy a good book. Driving Miss Peggy is easy to read and has lots of photographs. It is a goldmine of 20th Century American social history from a woman who actually lived it. Miss Peggy is 90+ and has enjoyed an amazing life. She still does. Although mostly healthy and independent, Miss Peggy cannot drive. This is the story of her remarkable history and life as told to the women who share the task and pleasure of Driving Miss Peggy. Through their common love for and friendship with Miss Peggy, these women become friends, learn about life, history, love, and a lot about themselves. Driving Miss Peggy is written by one of the women who drive Miss Peggy. Ms. Paladini's admiration for this remarkable woman shines through on every page. This would be a great gift for any young woman in your life.
