This is the third book in a series of three drum set books. The series contains over 600 examples, including 30 drum solos. There is something here for everyone, from beginners to advanced levels. The books gradually and logically progress, opening with very basic drum beats using quarter notes and eighth notes, advancing to all divisions of the beat in common time. Includes: crash cymbals, open/close hi-hat patterns, varying cymbal and hi-hat patterns, examples for "open hand" playing, and alternate sticking patterns. This concluding book presents a sufficient challenge for the student. There is a wide variety of drum beats that cross over with elements of Latin, Funk, and Fusion styles. This book ends with 10 final drum solos. In keeping with the series, these 10 drum solos are designed to test comprehension and practice of the material in the book. It is recommended that the student complete books one and two before proceeding to book three. This book is example-driven without long, unnecessary explanations.
