At first i didn't like this book because the patterns aren't full size, & there was a lot of extra descriptions from old catalogs, but later i realized this book may be the only one of it's kind (written for dolls) with the pattern pieces as they really cut them during that period. It was really interesting to read about the fashions of the time. One of the assets of this book is the many embroidery patterns. There is a lot of information on fabrics, even how to store & clean them. The author has even placed a glossary at the back so we can translate the old names for certain fabrics to the closest thing we have for it today. This book is a wonderful tool.
