Everyone in life is born for a specific purpose, reason, and fulfillment. My name is Angela and this is my story: I was born for a specific purpose, year, and reason, and I had to overcome many challenges at an early age. Since becoming an adult I have had an understanding of why these challenges were to this effect. This, in truth, is a memoir and autobiography of my life growing up in the United States of America in the State of Indiana in the 1960s. The purpose of this work is to help readers realize that child abuse is real and that the child is not the only victim. Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States alone. It is a terrible epidemic that affects society negatively. Both the victim and abuser needs help. But to do this, we need first to raise awareness of the issue itself. What is child abuse? Child abuse is when a parent or guardian, whether through action or failure to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm or risk of serious harm to a child. There are many forms of child abuse, including neglect, physical, sexual, exploitation, and emotional.
