Cataldo, Susandrenched: selected poems of Susan Cataldo 1979-1999Poetry. Susan Cataldo was born in the Bronx, New York City, on September 15, 1952. She died of ovarian cancer on April 25, 2001. In the late seventies she participated in workshops, and later taught, at The Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery. She has published two other books, Brooklyn-Queens Day (1982) and THE MOTHER JOURNAL (published posthumously in 2002), both of which are from Telephone Books.
