On June 5, 1968 Senator Robert F. Kennedy, then a candidate for President, is mortally wounded by assassin Sirhan Sirhan in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. The title comes from a famous quote of Robert F. Kennedy's "Some men see things as they are and say, 'Why?' I dream of things that never were and say, 'Why not?'"
