Dreams of Wolves: Poems of the Wild Soul

Sometimes, we don't understand the meaning of our current circumstances till later. As I revisit these poems, first published in early 2020, I can see new meanings emerge from the compositions I wrote. Wolves, for me, have been a valuable representation of the fundamental aspects of the wild, authentic and honorable way of living. They're familial in nature and shrewd when it comes to surviving in the wilderness. In my dreams they've soothed me. On waking, I take them with me into my day as I witness, with presence, life around me. The namesake of this collection honors wolves and their healing balm on the yearnings for love and belonging amidst a complex world.These poems are journeys through people, experiences and illuminations--all in the name of love and what love brings when it arrives in our lives. It's the arrival of love from others, from within ourselves and in the moments when we seem to touch, for a fraction of a moment, the divinity of life.
