Dreamers

Have you ever met a couple who were so completely and perfectly connected that they seemed made for each other? Dreamers describes a world where Pairs are becoming more the norm. For years, people like Harry and his familia have been finding each other and becoming essentially one whole person where words, names, and even feelings are completely mutual. Often, the two meet as children seemingly by accident, but once together the two cannot be parted. Now it would appear that Pairs are being born to non-Pair couples. Dreamers is one of the many One Flight Fiction novels. These short stories are intended to read while filling in fairly short amount of time like as the name suggests during an airplane flight. Thus, these titles range from just under and hour to approximately three hours. Dreamers is one of the longer books in the series estimated at between two and three hours. I quickly found myself getting into this book as my flight took off and was done just as we were descending. Perfect timing and an enjoyable read.

Dreamers is a novel about a sudden evolutionary trend that spontaneously begins to affect the human race - the appearance of Pairs and Multi-Sleeper Dreams. Protagonist Harry and his familia are one such Pair, together almost since birth, raised in the same home and in love with only each other. As research assistants for a University Psychology department, they hunt for a greater understanding of Pairs and Multi-Sleeper Dreams, yet someone does not want the answers to their questions found, and sabotages their work at every turn. Who wants to keep the truth hidden, and why? The threat of danger adds a heady weight of suspense to the fantastic and intelligently written story.
