Sarah Perse is a human wreck. Burned badly from an IED explosion during the Iraq war in 2004, she now lives a hermit's life in a small town in northern Idaho. Suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, too much drinking, and drug abuse, Perse serves as the town's nemesis and doesn't care much whether she lives or dies. Then Suzy vanishes and Perse gets blamed for her disappearance. As local law enforcement bears down on her, she sets out to find the girl.
