We have all grown up with the Princess and the Frog tale. I have always wondered how the Princess knew the frog was her Prince. Or how did the Frog realize that this Princess was the suitable Princess? Fairy tales always begin with once upon a time. Right? Not all romances start as a romance. At least not for Willey (the frog) and Jesse (the princess). They both come from wealthy families. But that is where the similarities end. Jesse was raised to believe she was an elitist in high society, and commoners were only used to get what was rightfully theirs. Willey comes from a wealthy family where wealth is not a birthright. They believe in quiet philanthropy and never to be displayed or used to bring attention to oneself. Jesse attends her mother's alma mater to extend the O'Malley legacy at State College. Willey goes to State with his Nerd Friend, Sebastian. Willey, fortunately, or unfortunately, ends up as Jesse's Chemistry class tutor. Jesse, a Theta Sorority pledge, sees Willey as a way to win the Pledge Class trophy through the sorority pledge class party, with each pledge bringing a nerd for 'nerd hazing.' The problem is that they become friends, and Jesse grows conscious. Worse, her mother disapproves of her having a Nerd friend when she already has Travis, a socially acceptable boyfriend. To complicate matters, Willey's new college friends want to take Theta Sorority down for all its transgressions on the 'commoner students.' This is also a story where the commoner students want to end elitist Theta Sorority and Sigma Tau fraternity's hold on the State campus student body government and social system. In the mix of things, Willey falls in love with Jesse becoming confused, unsure if the elitist mother controlled Jesse or the new Jesse would win out. Willey ends up unconscious at the bottom of a stairwell courtesy of Travis and his friends. After this, Willey's dreams become a reality for those he dreams of. His dreams take the shape of a superhero vanquishing the villains, making love to the ladies, and going on dates with the illustrious Jesse. The twist is that Willey doesn't know that his dreams are experienced in real-time as an absolute life night dream or a life-size daydream experienced by those he dreams with. Only those he dreams of can see him. Can Willey and Jesse's friendship survive? Will Jesse become the girl Willey sees, someone who is more than a pretty former Beauty Queen? With the beautiful Noella trying to turn Willey's attention toward her, can Jesse realize Willey is her Prince before it is too late? You will never know unless you read DREAM OF ME, PLEASE.
