Albuquerque Artist Bobby Jones took these photographs in 1992. Bobby had created an art series about the movie actresses of the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s called Dream Factory. He photographed them with my snowflake cut outs. Jones decided to post them. At the time, He was in grad school at UNM. This artist was studying Andy Warhol and his concept of man as machine to create art. Jones studied Warhol's silkscreens. He realized how dehumanized his art was becoming at this point in his life. His mom was battling breast cancer at this time in her life. These famous women were from her era. Bobby dedicate this art series to the memory of his mother and to these famous women in our culture's history.
