Dream: A Prequel Novella

By Lori Saltis

What would you do if a dragon kidnapped your father?

Penny Sparrow's family live by their wits and a bit of magic, their band performing for spare change in pubs around London. Everything changes when her father, Gerry, steps out to earn additional cash and disappears without a trace.

Now, Penny sees him only in her dreams, being spirited away by a dragon to an undersea lair. Is this dragon truly the culprit or are other more sinister forces trying to destroy her unconventional family?

Mortally wounded, Gerry hovers between life and death. His survival depends on the whim of a brooding dragon who clearly doesn't like him. Why is he a captive? Can he escape and return to his family and the man he loves? All he knows is that his survival depends on his daughter.

To save her family, Penny must face an all-too-human monster. But does this enemy hold the key to her father's disappearance? Or is her father doomed to spend eternity in the lair of a dragon?

Dream is a prequel novella in the thrilling Dragons of the Crossroads series. If you like hidden magic, hidden identities, secret societies, found family, demisexual and gay main characters, and dragons, you'll love this urban fantasy adventure by Lori Saltis.
