Dreadnought: Derik's first command

This is a fictionalized fantasy story of a young family that is given a star ship named The Dreadnought. They have been tasked to explore the Carina Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. Derik, takes his first command of a resurrected alien starship, which he has to grow into with the aid of a sentient computer, named D4, and DeDerik his Dragon.
