But every now and then, we scrape together a few extra coins to spend at Hector's place, the Dung Beetle, for a taste of that sweet, sweet honey mead.

But here's the thing: in the real world, I was a drainage engineer. So if there's one thing I know, it's how to move waste and water from point A to point B. That is, assuming I can get enough food and sleep to think straight.

This book isn't about epic battles or high-stakes adventure. Instead, it's a journey through economic growth, with a few fantasy elements thrown in, and the relentless struggle to push against the boundaries imposed on me.

Oh, and there's both a figurative and literal mountain of human waste.
