DiMitre had seen and heard it all before. This one swears he has money for you if you just send him money first. That one wants you to deposit checks and send him only half of the money but send it in I-tunes cards. Another one altogether says they will give you $10,000 if you just send them $2500. They were as bad as the signs stapled on telephone poles all across the I-20 corridor. "Work from home $25 an hour. NO SALES please call" or "Stuff envelopes for $15/hr please call". DiMitre knew that the people who had been human trafficked had dialed those numbers. Sometimes he thought about calling them just so that he could be abducted and run away from it all, but he knew his bills were due and what would Marty Welch do without him running her around and checking in on her?
