This is about a young blacksmith, Elias Cobblestone, who discovers a different sword in his family workshop in Haro. Haro is one of the few striving kingdoms of mankind. He encounters a mage named Vilnius Silvertone from Escrillien. They have a journey together and find the name of the sword is Delmara. The sword brought strife because many dragons sought to destroy it, especially the King of Dragons (Cyrex). Cyrex's shadow monks discover that the sword is alive and is in the possession of Elias and Vilnius. The showdown between the shadow monks and the other two begins. Elias and Vilnius get their first showdown with Cyrex.
