Dragonfly Satori is the debut poetry collection by Robert M. Novick. Each section represents a phase of development and wonder towards the world. The number 23 plays a large role in the format of the book. Each section consists of 23 poems (except for sixty-nine. In sixty-nine, there are 69 poems). There are 23 sets that consist of 3 poems. Each set begins with a 23 syllable poem followed by two additional poems that embellish the meaning of the short poem. The poems are bouyant and light-filled even when grappling with issues such as heartbreak, loss, and mortality. Dragonfly Satori intends to assist the reader into recognition and acceptance of the brilliant beauty that imbues all of life.
